Meeting Immediate Needs
The Community Foundation of Johnson County is an effective grant-making organization because it is willing and able to meet changing community needs and adapt to a changing external environment. Both community needs and nonprofit organizations that respond to those needs change through time. In the course of a generation, new organizations are founded, established organizations change course and some organizations either fold or become part of another organization. The funds that support grants within the Community Foundation can be adapted to meet changing circumstances and may include but are not limited to scholarships, charitable giving and furthering an area of interest.
